Sorrel has three other children so she has to steadily get back to her feet and then she came up with the Josie King Foundation

    ReplyDelete
  116. I really didn't like the Book Theif at all. First of all, it was really depressing! Second, the author introduced a main character late into the book, and third is that about 3/4 way through the book, the narrator, Death, spoils the ending.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Hunger games was my favorite becase it was action packed and really descriptive about the setting and people.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  143. Duncan, do you have any posts on your blog. I didn't see any...:/

    ReplyDelete
  144. The best book I have ever read would probably be the first clique book. I liked it because it was about teenager girls, so I could ralate.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Some of the 39clues are leaving to the next book

    ReplyDelete
  146. Cassie, Kissed By An Angel is about a girl named Ivy. She falls in love with a guy named Tristan. Tristan & Ivy get in a car crash, and Tristan dies. Tristan becomes an angel. (Before the crash, Ivy believed in angels like obsessively.) After the crash, Ivy's stepbrother, Gregory, tries to help Ivy cope with Tristan's death, and Tristan tries to get Ivy to see & believe in him again. So it's a really good book, and there's TONES of red herrings and cliffhangers in it. So it's pretty much a mystery and drama mized together.(: It's so so so GOOD! I reccomend it to anyone. It's kinda a girl's book, but guys can read it if they want...(:

    ReplyDelete
  147. Nina, yes, Duncan has posts on his blog. They're really funny because he said School is boring, and Ms. Waple read it...;p

  156. Cassie, I totally agree. I hated that book soooo much! And the worst part for me was that I had to read it for class so I couldn't abandone it...or else I would've in a single heart beat. I was still disappointed that they spoiled the ending, but the book just dragged on. Like it had absolutely no point to it. I only give the author props for a good beginning idea...that's it. ;)

  157. My favorite book is Maximum Ride by James Patterson. Bassically its about six kids named Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, the Gasman and finnally Angel. They are genetically bred bird kids or as they call themselves in the book mutant freaks. But they were living a fine life but then these scientest they call whitecoats sent out erasers which are also genetically bred but they are mixed with wolves. Who capture Angel so she can be expiremented on by whitecoats. If you like action and suspence this is the book for you. The book is by James Patterson and the book is called The Angel Expirement. This book is probably meant for reading levels grade six- ninth grade im guessing.

  164. My favorite book is Glass by Ellen Hopkins. It is my favorite book becuase it's about a girl who is living life while using drugs. I would reccomend this book to more mature people because it has alot of swearing and inapropriate stuff. You might want to read the book Crank first, but the first 50 pages in Glass explain the whole book of Crank. Ellen Hopkins has many other books about people who do drugs and drink. I also enjoyed The Hunger Games, but everyone has already review it and most people have read it. The lost Hero by Rick Riordan is really good too. It's a bit like Percy Jackson, but it's more roman mythology than greek. Everyone else seems to like The Book Theif so i might read it.

You've got to read them!

  191. Ah... yes.. hmm ok. I read Daniel X books by James Patterson.. they're interesting but they're hard to explain.. Yeah ok. He fights aliens with his special powers, such as csummoning his friends (who are really just figments of his imagination) but are as real as a normal person. He has other powers which runs in his family - did, I should say. His parents were killed by this BOSS alien when he was like 3... So Daniel's out to get him. But he has to fight through a list of aliens, first. To save earth. (The book also states that Elephants are aliens) But he doesn't kill them... He goes through a HUGE list of aliens on the internet powered by a foreign planet about 6,000,000,000 Lightyears away from the earth with a top secret URL. There are currently 2 or 3 books out.. You need to read them in order or it will make about as much sense as trying to knock down the Eiffel Tower with a butter knife. I enjoyed these books greatly although im not a big reader. They are perfectly centered toward our current reading level as well. My father got the first book as a girft from my aunt, read it and loved it... so he recommended it to me and I loved it too. You should read it, its pretty awesome.
It took me 5 minutes to type this.

  192. Nina, Fell takes place in the mid- evil times. I know laugh all you want. But if you don`t like the idea of animals talking to each other, then this is not your book. Because the main charater is a lone black wolf named Fell. Fell has this power called the sight, and his sister Larka had it to. You have to read Th Sight for all of this to understand what I am about to tell you. This power lets see into the mind of others, and also talk to them through their mind. Then their is Alina, a young teen girl living in a vilige hidding. Get this girls, she is hidding because she has royal blood and her step father is trying to find and kill her, and in hidding she has to hide the fact that she a girl and hide as boy!!! The couple who rescued her as an inphant abuse her, make her cut her hair like a boy, and do work around their farm. Soon the wolf and the girl,- both looking for answers to the visions haunting them- must overcome their natures to share a jouerny that brings their worlds to a greater understanding. Nina I hope you read this book, I have realized that you like reading more of the darker types of books , so thats one reason why you should read this.
